Starting HOME Property Management with Kieren and Eddie felt like a natural next step — the point where everything I’d learned in property could finally sit in one place.

I’ve always been drawn to the people side of the industry: building real relationships, communicating clearly, and making the property journey feel simple, personal and well looked after.

I stepped into property management professionally in 2013. Since then I’ve worked inside some of New Zealand’s larger real estate franchises, then in a more boutique, specialised agency. Both have shaped how I think the job should be done. HOME is our chance to take the best of each.

That means the systems, structure and technology of a larger business, paired with the personal service, accessibility and attention to detail of a smaller one. We’ve invested heavily in the software behind HOME because, used well, technology should improve communication, create more transparency and make the experience easier for everyone — not get in the way of it.

Property has never just been a job for me. I grew up in a family where investment was a constant focus, bought my first investment property at 21 in 2004, and have kept building my own portfolio since. That gives me a genuine understanding of what it means to be a landlord — the decisions, the responsibility, and what “looked after” actually feels like.

Today I work with landlords and investors across greater Christchurch. The brief is simple: good people, clear communication, and property management done properly.

HOME is about a standard of service that feels professional without feeling corporate, and personal without losing the systems behind it. Ultimately, it’s about making property ownership a little easier for the people we look after.
